Refunds & cancellations

This policy applies to professional audit engagements booked with Platform Security Net. It does not cover physical goods, software subscriptions, or services we do not offer.

Eligibility

Refunds relate to fees paid under a signed engagement letter for fintech audit work (licence and controls audits, AML health checks, pre-diligence briefs, or board pack assurance). Website form submissions alone do not create a payable engagement.

Timeframe to request

Cancellation or refund requests should be emailed to hello@platformsecuritynet.digital within seven days of the event giving rise to the request, and in any case before final report delivery unless otherwise agreed.

Full refunds

A full refund of amounts paid is available if we cancel the engagement for reasons within our control before fieldwork begins, or if we fail to start within the window stated in the letter and no mutually agreed alternative dates exist.

Partial refunds

If you cancel after the deposit is paid but before fieldwork, we may retain an administrative portion covering scoping already performed (typically up to 25% of the deposit) and refund the remainder. If fieldwork has started, fees are due for completed stages (scoping, evidence review days, draft findings) on a proportional basis; unused later stages may be refunded or credited.

Non-refundable items

• Fees for stages already delivered (including draft findings issued)
• Third-party costs pre-approved in writing (for example specialised translation of a large evidence set)
• Retainer amounts for board pack cycles once the pack review for that quarter has begun

Deposits

Fixed-fee audits usually require a 40% deposit to reserve the fieldwork window. The deposit is credited toward the final invoice. It is refundable under the full-refund conditions above and otherwise subject to the partial-refund rules.

Rescheduling

You may request one reschedule of fieldwork with at least ten business days’ notice at no charge, subject to our availability. Shorter notice may incur a rescheduling fee of up to 10% of the engagement fee or forfeiture of a portion of the deposit if we cannot reassign the reserved days.

No-shows

If key client contacts fail to attend agreed interview or on-site days without timely notice, those days remain chargeable. We will attempt to rebook once within the original engagement period.

Work already started

Once walkthroughs or sampling have begun, cancellation does not erase fees for time already spent or draft materials already prepared. You remain entitled to receive work product completed to that date, subject to payment of amounts due.

Refund process & timing

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within fourteen business days of written approval. Bank processing times may add several days depending on your institution.

Method

Refunds are issued in the currency of the original invoice, typically TWD bank transfer for Taiwan clients.

Exceptions

Mandatory regulatory holds that pause client evidence production may justify timeline extensions rather than automatic refunds; we will document any adjustment in writing.
